We acknowledge the Wangal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and practice.
We pay our respect to Wangal Elders, past and present, and recognise the ancient and enduring care all First Nations people have for the lands, waters and skies of Australia.
potts+lamond is a Sydney-based architectural and design studio with over 50 years of collective experience spanning a broad range of sectors — from award-winning public and commercial projects to strategic urban design and masterplanning, through to private residential commissions.
Founded by Suzannah Potts and Andrew Lamond, we practice architecture on the traditional lands of the Wangal people with a simple but enduring conviction: that architecture is, at its heart, about relationships. Every project is the unique embodiment of its many inherent connections — between people, place, and purpose. We see ourselves as custodians of the ideas that bring these connections to life for our clients.
Our work is guided by three core values:
Collaboration. We work closely with our clients, fellow designers, consultants, builders, and authorities to achieve the greatest and most appropriate result. We are good listeners and communicators — translating needs, ideas, and constraints into clear and considered design outcomes.
Context. We believe every project exists within and because of its own specific context. The buildings and spaces we design must therefore be good neighbours and responsible citizens. They must contribute in a positive way. For us, every project is understood within its broader setting — from the site and the street to the neighbourhood and the city; its history; in its relationship to Country and through its impact on the planet. We carry a deep respect for the natural and cultural environments in which we work.
Constructed Ideas. We are committed to the thoughtful resolution of material, space, form, and light. These are the elements through which ideas and relationships become architecture, and through which architecture, at its best, becomes meaningful to those who experience it.

Suzannah is a registered architect with over 25 years of experience working in award-winning architectural practices in both Sydney and Dublin. Specialising in residential architecture, she has extensive expertise in guiding projects from concept design through planning approvals and construction to the completion of thoughtfully crafted homes.

She works closely with clients, builders, and skilled tradespeople to deliver homes that are both beautifully designed and meticulously realised.
Throughout her career Suzannah has also contributed to a broad range of larger residential, public, and commercial projects in collaboration with other architectural practices, bringing the same rigour and care she applies to her residential work.
Suzannah has maintained a parallel commitment to architectural education, teaching third year design at both the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney, and serving as Course Coordinator for the undergraduate Professional Practice program at the University of Sydney.
Outside the studio, Suzannah enjoys travel — drawn particularly to the ways in which different cultures and places express themselves through their built environments — as well as tennis and the meditative craft of making handmade paper gift cards.
